Miles de opositores venezolanos se manifestaban este sábado en Caracas contra el gobierno de Nicolás Maduro, en su cuarta protesta en una semana, marcada por el rechazo a una decisión que bloquea la candidatura presidencial de Henrique Capriles.





Portando retratos del dirigente y figura emblemática de la oposición, los manifestantes acusaron una vez más a Maduro de encabezar una “dictadura” que tiene sumida a Venezuela en la “miseria”.

“Esto que acaban de hacer con Capriles es producto de una tiranía. Esta gente hace lo que le da la gana. Capriles les hace sombra”, dijo a la AFP Adel Rincones, exatleta de 61 años.

Vestido con un uniforme de la selección olímpica venezolana, Rincones llegó hasta Chacao (este) con una pancarta en la que se leía: “Venezuela está herida en el corazón, con hambre, miseria, corrupción, dictadura”.

Capriles fue notificado el viernes por la Contraloría de una inhabilitación para ejercer cargos públicos por 15 años, lo que le cierra el paso para postular por tercera vez a la presidencia en los comicios de diciembre de 2018.

El líder opositor de 44 años anunció que apelará la sanción, que se le impuso por supuestas irregularidades administrativas como gobernador del estado Miranda (norte), cargo que ejerce desde 2008.

A la concentración asiste la dirigencia de la coalición Mesa de la Unidad Democrática (MUD), que pronuncia discursos desde una tarima acompañados por el coro: “¡libertad, libertad!”.

Se espera la asistencia de Capriles, quien rechazó el fallo como una expresión de “miedo” de Maduro de cara a las presidenciales.
