Al menos nueve muertos y decenas de heridos en ataque talibán en Pakistán

Al menos nueve personas murieron y otras decenas resultaron heridas el viernes en un ataque de los talibanes contra una escuela de Peshawar, en el noroeste de Pakistán, informaron las autoridades.

“Hemos recibido seis muertos y 18 heridos, dos de ellos en un estado crítico”, dijo a la AFP un portavoz del hospital de Hayatabad.





Por su parte, el hospital de Jíber indicó que había atendido 20 heridos y recibido tres cadáveres.

Cuatro talibanes vestidos con burka entraron en el Instituto de Capacitación Agrícola tras herir de bala al guardia, indicó la policía.

Tres de los atacantes murieron y las fuerzas de seguridad están llevando a cabo una operación dentro del edificio, declaró el jefe de policía de Peshawar, Muhamad Tahir Khan.

Un portavoz del Movimiento de los Talibanes Pakistaníes (Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan), Muhammad Khurasani, reivindicó el ataque en una llamada a la AFP.

“Nuestros muyahidines atacaron el edificio porque fue utilizado como oficina por el ISI” (Inter-Service Intelligence), el servicio de inteligencia de Pakistán, dijo el portavoz.

“Si Dios lo quiere nuestros combatientes pelearán hasta la última gota de sangre”, agregó. AFP
