“Annihilate the democratic alternative in Venezuela”, is one of the objectives of Nicolás Maduro’s regime that was evidenced in the UN Report, according to the President (e) of the country and of the National Assembly, Juan Guaidó.

In the “Debate on the Report of the Fact-Finding Mission of the United Nations on Human Rights in Venezuela”, carried out in the session of the National Parliament this Thursday, Guaidó made this point, and added that what was gathered in the more than 400 pages that make up the document, is “forceful and frightening”.
“There is no neutrality in times of oppression. It is clear that one of the objectives (of the dictatorship) is to annihilate Venezuela’s democratic alternative. Whoever dares to deny what is described in this report is an accomplice of the dictatorship”.
He highlighted that today a “systematic violation” of Human Rights continues to occur in the country, in addition to those collected by the UN Mission; therefore he made a “call to action” to Venezuelans to seek justice, but also freedom.
In his speech, the re-elected President of the NA, said that the scope of the report could not reach for example the ecocide committed in the Arco Minero, the financing of irregular groups like the ELN, among other crimes committed in the state of Bolivar.
The National Armed Force (FAN) was once again criticized and asked to decide if it was on the side of the Constitution or that of “a terrorist criminal” (in reference to Maduro).
“It is time for them to decide if they are going to continue protecting a terrorist criminal or if they are going to side with the Venezuelan people. We already know which side Padrino López is on, for example.”
